Sharon Parris-Chambers

Sharon Parris-Chambers was born in Kingston, Jamaica W.I. She is the Co-founder and President of PanaCarib Business Solutions, headquartered in Jamaica. It is a Wellness Marketing Communications company with a focus on Marketing/Public Relations, Health & Wellness Consultations, News Production, and Distribution.

A leader in the development of Health & Wellness Tourism, Sharon was instrumental in helping to establish Jamaica as a Health & Spa destination (2005-2009) Through working collaboratively with Jamaica’s Ministry of Tourism and its agencies (Tourism Product Development Company, Jamaica Tourist Board) and also Jamaica Promotions Company (JAMPRO), Bureau of Standards Jamaica and the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC). 

Sharon and her partner, Theo Chambers were the founders of the first Spa Association in Jamaica, the Caribbean Resort and Day Spa Association, and the Caribbean Chapter of the International Medical Spa Association. 

Sharon is a former Vice President of the Spa Standards Steering Committee and has been recognized by Tourism Product Development Company and the Bureau of Standards Jamaica for leading the Spa Standards Development, which has been approved for implementation in Jamaica since 2010 and thereafter in the wider Caribbean through CROSQ, the regional standards body. The Bureau of Standards Jamaica has recognized the Spa Standards Steering Committee with a Plaque for their service to Jamaica – October 12, 2010.

Sharon has been selected by the Cabinet to serve on the Jamaica Health & Wellness Task Force for Health Tourism development. She is listed in International Health Tourism Who’s is Who in the capacity of Co-founder, Co-Producer, and Convener of “Caribbean Health Tourism & Spa Symposium” an Annual Wellness Trade Show staged in Jamaica, which was inaugurated February 7 - 8, 2005.  Sharon and Theo Chambers became trailblazers of the development of the emerging Health & Wellness industry.

Sharon and Theo received the mandate from former Minister of Tourism (Jamaica), Aloun Assamba, in 2006, to pioneer the way in establishing health & wellness tourism as a mainstay in Jamaica and to help brand the Caribbean as a Health & Spa destination.

Sharon and Theo Chambers, Co-founded and lead the first Caribbean Chapter of the Resort & Day Spa and International Medical Spa Associations, Caribbean Chapters on February 7, 2005, in an official launch ceremony, sponsored by The Ministry of Tourism and its Agencies. It was through this initiative that we were invited to the Inter-American Development Bank Conference & Symposium held in Washington D.C. to help chart the course of Wellness Development in the Caribbean. Our partner ‘the late Eric Light’, Spa developer and President International Medical Spa Assoc. and Hannelore Leavy, Founder & Executive Director Day Spa Association, also attended on our invitation. 

Eric Light challenged me to lead the Spa Standardization development in Jamaica. I took the challenge and the rest is history.

In 2008-2010, The Caribbean VeggieFest brand was launched and added to the Caribbean Health & Spa Conference to further widen its scope and awareness of the growing industry. The focus was placed on Health, Spa, Wellness & Cuisine.

Theo and Sharon were Co-Host & Producers, of Caribbean Tourism Roundtable, an award-winning Radio Feature, 2003-2004 featured on Power 106 FM Radio. The program was awarded in St Lucia by St Lucia’s Minister of Tourism. The Caribbean Roundtable gave us a unique platform to promote wellness and showcase the movers and shakers in the Health & Wellness and Hospitality industries.

Sharon found her voice as a Poet during the writing of her first book: “Poetry from the Rose of Sharon: Divine Thoughts and Inspirations for Living Well’ 2011, now available on www.Amazon.com. Poetry from the Rose of Sharon is the poet’s search for truth and her place in the world. The author uses her inspired thoughts and poems to create positive outcomes for readers by encouraging them to live from their passions to achieve remarkable success in your life.

Book # 2 -Living Life as a Sacred Practice is the author’s response to many years of trying to learn various methods of unifying mind, body, and spirit. She has captured the essence of

life and greatness in this book with the inclusion of many practices to develop spiritual mastery. 

A devotee of Dr. Wayne Dyer, following his work during his life, she has transformed her life with the power of intention and practice. She now shares these practices with others. 

The book is a tribute to Dr. Wayne Dyer one of her most influential mentors. 

Positive Tourism Productions was created as the production company to produce the Wellness trade shows and expositions that would take place from 2005-2009. International and regional health and wellness professionals were invited and hosted in Jamaica to share their expertise in wellness trends at the numerous workshops that were established at the trade shows to facilitate the growth of this knowledge industry.

Sharon and Theo Co-founded in 2005, the Caribbean Resort & Day Spa and International Medical Spa Associations, Caribbean Chapters with the goal of becoming the advocacy group and membership organization supporting the development of spas in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.

Sharon was appointed Regional Initiating Provisional Deputy Coordinator for the Caribbean by Felipe Noguera, Regional Coordinator, Pan African Federalist Movement (PAFM) in 2016. With responsibility for assisting the unification of African states within the Caribbean during the PAFM Campaign period in preparation for the international PAFM Pre-Congress slated for Ghana in 2018. Thereafter, she will work with the International Preparatory Committee to prepare for the PAFM Congress to be held within the next two years.

Currently, Sharon is the President of PanaCarib Business Solutions Ltd. She is married to Theo Chambers, Founder & Chairman of PanaCarib Business Solutions, Jamaica.

  • Provided consultation and facilitation for the design and staging of the Seminar Series for The Jamaica Epicurean Escape Festival, December 1-2, 2012, Richmond Estate, St Ann. Noteworthy seminar presenters were: Patricia Miranda (Cerro Brujo Gourmet, Panama); Lorraine Washington (Rasta Pasta, Jamaica); Christopher Reckord (Wine Connoisseur, Jamaica); Eddie Wray (Rasta Indigenous Village). The Jamaica Epicurean Escape is a festival showcase of Jamaica's premier chefs and culinary personalities, combined with several international celebrity chefs.

    The festival features restaurants, caterers, specialty shopping, fine wines, beers, great entertainment plus the opportunity to participate in interesting seminars, cooking demonstrations, and competitions.  The Jamaica Epicurean Escape is designed to be one of Jamaica’s premier events for food enthusiasts with an anticipated attendance of 10,000.
